Unlocking the Jeweler for Gem Crafting
To begin your gem-collecting journey, you must first unlock the Jeweler by completing a priority quest. Upon reaching level 20, Diablo 4 gold buy the "Gem Crafting" quest becomes available, tasking you with finding the Jeweler in Kyovashad, within the Fractured Peaks region. Completing this quest unlocks your ability to craft gems.
Gem Crafting Mechanics
In Diablo 4, crafting gems relies heavily on Gem Fragments, which are commonly obtained by defeating enemies and participating in various activities. These fragments are conveniently stored in the Materials tab of your character screen. As you level up, you will unlock increasingly higher tiers of gem quality. Crafting superior gems requires combining three gems of the same tier and paying a fee in gold to the Jeweler. You can also find raw gems by destroying ore veins scattered throughout the world, with rarer Glittering Ore Veins providing a greater chance of dropping gems. Gems can also be found within chests.
Gem Stats and Socketing Bonuses
Gems provide a variety of stat bonuses depending on the type of gem and the gear slot they are socketed into. Here's a breakdown:
