At every point in a trade you should DOUBLE CHECK the Unique ID of the person you are dealing with. Users will create group messages and invite an impostor to middleman the trade. In every new instance that you speak to someone, you should verify their Unique ID.

Most known middlemen and traders have posted their Unique ID on their thread or profile. You can search a user's Unique ID in the RuneLister search bar; this will give you an idea if it is the correct person. If there are no matches, it's very likely you are being scammed.
